If it has been a while since you started at early stages in a major AirwaySim game, here are a few reminders and tips:
Welcome to join the latest AirwaySim airline game and have fun!
After nearly two years of play, the epic-length History and the Future scenario has reached the year 2035 and is now closed. The game opened in May 2024 and ran from 1950 to 2035 in-game.
A total of 32 airlines managed to operate from day one all the way to the final day without a single bankruptcy, a new record! This is an outstanding achievement in a scenario of this scale and duration, and each of these players will receive 10 Credits as a reward for their long-term commitment and performance.
In total, 107 airline members were still active at the end of the game, showing strong participation throughout the full timeline. Thank you to everyone who took part in this long-running scenario!
Remember to join the next round of History and the Future, starting in a few hours. Join from the Game Area already now!
You can view the final stats of this game from our forums.
The Dark Mode theme is now available for testing at our website.
You can switch the theme from the top-right-corner's account dropdown menu (login required to see the option). The main website outside the Game Area should be fully complete and look fine in dark theme, and in the Game Area, the newer v2.0 UI pages should be in good shape too. However, as usual, some colors selections may still need tuning - feedback and improvement ideas are welcome.
Note that the forum and older in-game pages (old v1.5 UI) are all not fully polished, but should remain usable; we will only adjust these old pages if something is clearly wrong. There are also some technical limitations to the bar/pie/line charts so after switching the theme you may see light themed charts before the background data and cache refreshes.
Please send feedback in the forums, or in our Discord at the #newdarkmode channel.
With this feature completed, we're moving to finalize the Scheduling 2.0, as per our development roadmap.

The completely rebuild AirwaySim aircraft image library is now in use!
This is the largest single visual upgrade we have made to the aircraft data, and the new images cover all of the ~700 aircraft variants in the database. The new images fully replace the old low-resolution pictures with higher quality images that look significantly sharper in the UI. The goal has been consistency, technical and historical accuracy, and a better overall presentation across the whole aircraft range, from early classics to modern aircraft.
Each existing image in the library was enhanced to meet these standards, but additionally over 200 images have been re-sourced for better quality and better technical accuracy. All aircraft images have now also era-appropriate visual styles and liveries to give you an evolving aviation history timeline.
A wide list of other smaller updates have also been made, including finalizing the Dynamic aircraft manufacturer names feature and thus fully completing the Fleet Commonality v.2.0 update. See Changelog for details.
